Por ser uma senhora de 82 anos e ter minhas limita\u00e7\u00f5es, tinha muito receio em fazer o face lifting. I\u2019m delighted to write this review to the entire staff of Dr. Antonio Pitanguy\u2019s Clinic. Everyone that I\u2019ve worked with are great people who love what they do. From the driver Fabio, who\u2019s extremely safe and kind driver, to Erica who was an extraordinary nurse and helped me deal with my pain like a therapist would. Tania my lymphatic drainage specialist, so gentle and careful. Finally, Cris front desk manager, who quickly responded to all my inquiries and to all the young medical interns that assisted during my procedure, they are incredibly knowledgeable at what they do, welcoming and patient with me, and most importantly everyone is hard working and local to Rio de Janeiro. You\u2019re not alone on your journey, their professionalism transcends any language barriers you may have.\n\nI highly recommend leaving the U.S to come to Brazil to get your aesthetic treatment done. The overall health professionals are humane and do not treat patients as another number. Before undergoing my treatment, I had regular monthly video calls for an entire year, where we talked about goals, mental health and weight monitoring. Dr Antonio does not sugar coat things, he\u2019s realistic. He tells you that you must be disciplined and follow instructions. In my case, I had to lose weight and he encouraged me to start on wellness journey and to focus on my ultimate goal.\n\nDr Antonio strives to make you feel comfortable and he respects your vision as a patient. He went above and beyond and convinced me to make a few alterations to the original surgical plan through conversations that didn\u2019t sound pushy. He was thorough during surgery and post operative recovery, he handed me a bag with all my medication hand labeled, along with a description list of each prescription with instructions and what it was good for. I had six appointments with him after the procedure, he carefully took his time to take all the stitches. He was careful, and he mentioned \u201cwhen it comes to stitches, I cannot take everything at once, I have to wait and respect your healing process, it\u2019s like waiting for a fruit to ripe .\u201d From my experiences with previous doctors, I have never seen this type of care, nowadays most doctors don\u2019t even bother to touch you and when they see you they\u2019re constantly rushing and not listening.\n\nFor patients coming from the U.S. and are wondering about the whole process, please note that Dr. Antonio and his team will follow up after your departure from Brazil. He will schedule video calls with you, go over your symptoms in the same attentive manner. I\u2019m really happy with the results, going through this process really changed my perception towards plastic surgery. As I was getting close to turning 49yo, I had asked many close friends\/families their opinion about getting a facelift. Coming from the U.S , it was extremely difficult to be at ease with my surgical process. Fortunately, we found Dr. Antonio Pitanguy. From the moment we arrived to Brazil, it was all organized and very professional. The care and attention provided through the exams and procedure were top of the line. I had two painless surgeries at once, and was able to relax afterwards due to the excellent hospital that was chosen.
